2014 has been on exciting year of IT innovation. We’ve seen things that redefine our lifestyle, change our perception about the things around us, and make us crave for more. But that doesn’t stop there. Intel, shares their views of the innovations that we are more likely to see and experience in 2015. They hailed the coming year as the Era of Integration.
In this generation, people no longer live in a world with only one device and basic level of connectivity. We are now demanding to use multiple platforms like wearables, tablets, and PCs, that are seamlessly and automatically synced together for a more personal experience.
With this demand, Intel sees the rise of gadgets with new capabilities, from foldable screens through to high-performing low powered form factors, and lightweight, affordable options that automatically speak with other connected objects.
According to Intel, one of the core evolutions that will impact connected devices next year will be the proliferation of wireless charging capabilities. This is the advent of a generation when we will live a world without wires, making it easier for us to interact and manage our multitude devices.
Intel also shares that the Era of Integration goes hand in hand with the much-talked about Internet of Things (IoT). This will be one of the core drivers that will take us to a journey through unprecedented innovations.
The next generation of innovations is also about the smallest form factors. Alongside with this, Intel unveils a powerful computing device that comes in a size that is similar to a regular USB. This relives the saying, small but terrible.
With the rapid pace of innovations, Intel said that the technologies, infrastructures and industry standards will evolve next year to address the significant and continuous growth. Harnessing the value of this data will drive market growth and be an explicit and implicit part of all services as we expand the frontiers of computational science.
